The TMB Academy was created with the mission to foster a constructively different approach to thinking and doing things, aligning with TMB Bank's vision. The main concept behind the design is the "Creative Park" theme, which sets the tone for the entire space.
One of the standout features of the TMB Academy is its adjustable spaces. Unlike traditional enclosed training centers, a large portion of the academy is designed to encourage multiple activities in a setting that can be easily adapted. This flexibility allows for various uses and promotes collaboration and creativity among the users.
The academy is divided into three main zones: the Activity Hall, the Academy Hall, and the Computer Training area. The Activity Hall serves as the welcoming zone, featuring a lounge, an auditorium, and a cafe corner. It is separated from the Academy Hall by movable walls with two LED screens mounted on the surface, which can be combined to create a larger screen when needed.
The Academy Hall, located at the central zone, consists of adjustable conference rooms in different sizes. These rooms can be modified to accommodate various activities such as lecturing, workshopping, and conferencing. The use of movable walls allows for easy reconfiguration and adaptability.
The Computer Training area, situated at the back of the academy, comprises three small rooms that can be combined into one larger space. The design incorporates rows of yellow built-in seating, creating a motivating environment for learning and collaboration.
Throughout the TMB Academy, the combination of aluminum perforated ceilings, glossy translucent wall materials, cool white custom-made LED strip lights, porcelain ceramic tiles, and colorful furniture creates an inspiring and innovative atmosphere. These design elements reflect the character of the "Creative Park" concept and enhance the overall ambiance of the space.
The TMB Academy project was realized through the collaboration of various entities. THE OTHERS CO., LTD. served as the architects, with Nontawat Charoenchasri as the design director. Other team members included interior designers, engineers, construction companies, and suppliers of walls, ceilings, and lighting. The project commenced in May 2016 and was completed in March 2018.
The TMB Academy's unique design and innovative approach have garnered recognition in the design community. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2019 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award acknowledges the academy's well-designed, practical, and innovative features that meet professional and industrial requirements.
With its multifunctional spaces, creative design, and commitment to fostering a constructive working environment, the TMB Academy stands as a testament to the power of design in inspiring and enhancing productivity and collaboration.
